DID YOU CHECK YOUR INTERNET? IT’S CAN BE THE TROUBLE.

Hello again! This time, we come not just with a solution but with a TIP in case you encounter this issue.

We’re going to show you several things to do to fix the DATE/TIME problem:

  1. If your INTERNET service provider assures you that there are no connectivity issues, following these steps should resolve the problem using NTP(Network Time Protocol)SERVER(responsible for providing date and time based on your geographical location using the IP address as a reference):
    1. Go to System Preferences.
    2. Define the path of the server you want to respond, for example, [time.apple.com].
    3. Activate the checkbox [set DATE/TIME automatically].
    4. Done, in seconds your DATE/TIME will be updated.
  2. Using the INTERNET, but this time, we’ll use the Terminal as an interface:
    1. Open the Terminal.
    2. Type “ping -c 5” followed by a space.
    3. Enter the URL of the NTP server and press Enter.
    4. This is to check if the server is active; otherwise, it gonna show you a text like “Unknown” or “Timeout
    5. Once verified that the server is available, execute the following code:
      “sudo launchctl start org.ntp.ntpd”
  3. A third solution, in case you don’t have INTERNET, is to manually configure the DATE/TIME.

Note: If the DATE/TIME reset every time you turn off your device, depending on the device, you may need to consider changing the battery in the case of MacBooks or the internal battery in the case of iMac.
